Houston Nutt is a former Head Football Coach for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks & is currently a CBS Sports College Football Analyst. Nutt has served as the head football coach at Murray State University (1993–1996), Boise State University (1997), the University of Arkansas (1998–2007), and the University of Mississippi (2008–2011).
Houston Nutt has been the SEC Coach of the Year three times and the Ohio Valley Coach of the Year two times. He has also been the Eddie Robinson National 1-AA Coach of the Year and was the FCA Coach of the Year in 2009.
Houston has held three SEC Western titles; the Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame, the Murray State Hall of Fame, and the Arkansas Hall of Fame.
Ten times in 14 years in the SEC, he led his teams to bowl games; five Cotton Bowls, the Capital One Bowl, the Citrus Bowl, the Independence Bowl, the Music City Bowl, and the Las Vegas Bowl.
Nutt has an 11-2 record in overtime games, including a five, six, and two (seven) overtime games.
He is only one of four coaches (Bear Bryant, Steve Spurrier, Nick Saban, Houston Nutt) to win the SEC Coach of the Year Award with multiple teams.
His Arkansas teams led the SEC in rushing in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007. In 2006, he won 10 consecutive games and mentored 20 All-Americans, 85 All-SEC players, and 175 SEC Academic Honor Roll students.
Nutt is the second all-time winningest coach at Arkansas, only following Frank Broyles.
Houston and his wife Diana have four children, Houston III, twins Hailey and Hanna, and Haven.
