(Retired) Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice President at J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.

Craig Harper is a transportation and logistics expert. He is the former Chief Sustainability Officer and Executive Vice President at J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc.  
 
Craig joined J.B. Hunt in 1992 as Vice President of Special Commodities, hired personally by Mr. Hunt. After four years, he was named Chief Safety Officer as the company mounted its huge safety initiative to significantly shift the company focus to improving safety. In 1997, he was appointed Chief Operations Officer and held that title until 2020. Craig’s last role was Chief Sustainability Officer where he was responsible for leading the company’s initiatives involving electric and autonomous vehicles and other emerging technologies in addition to driver hiring, orientation and safety programs, as well as fuel purchasing for the company during this time.  

Craig is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and continued his education at the University of Tennessee where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
